Fundraising and marketing is a long term game so its worthwhile spending time to get the basics right. The basics being…

  1. Great Content… If you tell compelling stories which demonstrate impact and demonstrate how supporters can contribute to enhance  impact then the funds will follow
  2. Appropriate Systems…implementing appropriate systems to to allow for well  executed fundraising activities.
  3. A Plan…to optimise and fundraising activities over the short, medium and long term.

Who am I?

Ewan Isbister

I am a freelance strategic and analytical direct marketer and fundraiser with over 15 years experience in the not for profit sector. I have worked with domestic organisations such as The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, The Royal Flying Doctor, The Wayside Chapel and CanTeen, as well as international organisations such as WaterAid, The Refugee Council of Australia, UNICEF and Greenpeace. Ewan has held senior fundraising positions at WaterAid, CanTeen and UNICEF.

With a proven ability in strategic planning and operational management Ewan drives process improvement, revenue or supporter/customer engagement in order to deliver the best outcome for the organisation. A strong team player and project manager who enjoys collaborating in teams Ewan harness’s the resources within teams to deliver on projects.

Where necessary, I bring in subcontractors to support the development and implementation of fundraising activities.
